Holidaes

Hey there folks!

Its been a long while since I've blogged but yes, I am temporarily out of prison! Otherwise known as ungrounded. LOL.

The holidaes have started! Yay! *waves pom-poms* Unfortunately I am still trying to do all the holidae homework in front of me. Which is impossible in my case cos my brain has taken a one month holidae to Perth! You could sae I'm on holidae mode.

I can't wait for u guys to come to my house!!! It'll be so FUN!

Can't think of anything else to write so I'll juz sign off.

Very inspired...

Today I went to MSNBC to look at some pictures taken by Hubble, Neil Armstrong, Cassini, and other astronauts and robotic explorers.

Very inspiring... especially those pictures of nebulas!!!

Sorry about not being able to change the layout now... I didn't expect the homework to be so loaded... I PROMISE by the moon, the stars, the sun, by mars, that once I finish all my homework, I will start on the new layout!

I am extremely shocked by Julia's family... they ate 30+ plates of sushi and stuff at sakae sushi... *horrified* At first I thought that they ate those kind...like they charge you by how many plates you have eaten... but actually they had a buffet type of meal... so okay lah. Haha.

Can't wait for Monday... gonna go to Samantha's house to... well? Play! Hahaha...What else are holidays for, right? Playing, eating, sleeping late, reading stuff you like, and fiddling with the computer.

Still have 3 more science chapter summaries to write, 3 pgs of ju ben to write, maths qs. 6, and maths qs. 2 and 3 part b, and HeyMaths assignment to finish.

WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Carnival Dae

Well, todae was such a nice dae. Except for choir.

Okay I shall start with the bad part:
No offense to my cca, but todae's practice didn't go very well. Okay that's putting it mildly but neva mind. Our vice-president broke down and our president was so angry at us. Our senior was...okay. I think she was very disappointed but she was trying to hide it. Okay all these sorta dampened my spirits.

Now for the good part:
But, when I started to man the stall, or as they call it "hold the fort", I felt much better in a long time. It was so much fun. The people at the stall did a great job(thanks guys) and I wished I had been there to help. Too bad I had choir. Then I carried the basket around to sell stress balls to the teachers. The funniest parts was when I met Mrs. Geh and a group of teachers. So I went, "Good morning Mrs. Geh and teachers, would you like to buy a stress ball?" So Mrs. Geh bought a stress ball and then she asked Miss Adeline Yong whether she wanted a stress ball. So they both picked one then Mrs Geh gave me a $2 note. because I only had a 50 cent coin, I told her, "sorry Mrs Geh I don't have any change. Then she started laughing and said,"That's a good business tatic." The other teacher told me,"You should have asked "can I keep the change?" " Then they all continued to laugh. So I told Mrs Geh I would be back with her change. Thank goodness Siew Chi was nearby. Just nice, she had a $1 coin.

The I also sold to my choir senior. Actually the president. I approached her AFTER the big blow-up so I said,"would u like a stress ball?"Then the other leaders with her started laughing and they said it was so coincidential. The president then said she wouldn't buy unless there was one with "choir rawks" on it. So I rushed back and wrote that on a plain stress ball. When I presented it to her she and the other leaders started to laugh. So she bought it from me in the end. Hahaha.

Oh well, last dae of school tml. Yay!!! Cya all.

Howdy! It was carnival day today, and I think this event was really great!

At first our business was bad... But we thought of creative (haha) ways to erm... make people feel guilty, and buy our stuff. Or even come up with a million reasons why they should buy it. Haha... no offense k... juz kidding! :)

Then... at around 10am+, Mr Hay stepped into the void deck... ta dah! With a digicam. (very big one, I bet the video quality is really good) Then he walked around... When he stepped in chunling and sam asked me to pull him over to buy something... I paiseh lah.. Hahaha... I stand at the class stall only to be stress ball artist! :p And once in awhile also tui xiao abit lah. Hehe!

Then he walked one BIG round and finally came to the 2/1 stall, wahz. Then I try and tui xiao, ask him to buy something. Chunling too. Then all the while he was videotaping me.... DOTX!!!

Then I started explaining about the candle... the one which we hand made using cans. Before that I explained stuff about the stress balls lah... very lame sia. Like

"this one is a lemon, this one is a fish, and... aiyah! actually everything written there lah, hehe!"

Then I stopped talking. Because I didn't know what to say. I doubted he'd buy anything anyway. Then he still continue shooting me for awhile. Then I said, "what???" Then he like... shoot the rest of the stuff we were selling, then went off.

So malu lah... What if I appear on the screen in the hall during some school celebration?! I'm gonna laugh like mad at myself... I cannot be a saleswoman lah. :p

Haha... Oh ya! And I would like to say a big THANK YOU to the roti prata stall auntie(for helping me light the candles twice, because the first time she lighted it for me, it extinguished. Sadly, after lighting it for the 2nd time, the wind was still too strong... it extinguished on my way back), Mrs Loke, and Pei Yi (for buying so much stuff!)

Also a big THANK YOU!!! to Miss Seng, Mr Teo (the two teachers in charge of the kite flying competition. Our kite was too heavy because it tore too many times, and we had to use ALOT of masking tape to fix it. It couldn't fly. Then, chunling suggested that we give up and go to the hall to watch the concert. But I disagreed strongly, and was determined to make our kite fly. Fat hope to make me give up JUST LIKE THAT!!! It did [abit only] thanks to the help of the 2/9 girl and Faiza! We knew 100% that we wouldn't win ANYTHING, but the miracle of the century happened! We won the 3rd prize, a $10 popular book voucher!),

the 2/9 girl who tried to help us to fly our kite, all the people who took part in the kite-flying competition, and Mdm Seah!(for writing good remarks for all my friends) Also to everyone in 2/1 for doing such a great job! (we earned $115)

Ms Seng said that I can't buy my toy back, boohoo... :'(
But nevermind! I'll get my uncle's wife to come with her 2 cute little kids, and ask her buy lor. Then at least I know that I can see my toy again.
I kind of couldn't believe that Ms Seng said that I can't buy it back even if I gave her $50 to donate to charity...(hopefully I can choose which organization I want) Grrrx. But she said I got the highest in class for my toy, so... hai. Wo ye shi ling you yin mou de... muahahaha!!!

Quite happy with my Semester one results... Inspires me to work harder next term! :)

Oh Ya! MRS TAUFIQ IS BACK!!! YAY!!!!!!!

Today, was either a good dae or a bad dae,depending on ur point of view

Let's see. There is both a good viwepoint and a bad viewpoint of today...and yes, including the maths test.

The good side: Let's all be happy about it k? No point being sad about something we are not sure about for a month right? Okay, that's a good point. but ya, we won't get back our results yet. And thus, we wont be grounded for the holidaes!!! Yay! I mean that's something to be happy about.

The bad side: I might fail. Okay there is a high possibility that all of u ppl will pass. Unfortunately I dn think I will. But hey, I am trying to b posititve about this. I hope and I pray REALLY hard that I can pass. Did u know that a simillar thing happened to a girl in my tution class. Then alot of people failed the test and then the maths departement decided to do a re-test for the whole level. MAYBE if a lot of us didn't do well, there could be a possibility that we could have a re-test. But then again maybe not.

Oh well, that's all for todae. I gotta get some rest. The choir is performing tml and we're not tat prepared yet. Muz clap ar, not matter how we sound. LOL.

I know today's maths test... Haiya. Everyone did badly lah. But what can we do, right? Alot of people cry also lah...

So... You can think of it from another perspective. No more tests for this term! Yay! *starts jumping around like crazy, singing 'don't worry, be happy' *

we can still work harder for the next test! Yay! *jumps very high, and lands face-flat*

Now for the good news... SLS will be undergoing a major revamp from Friday onwards. So... I'll be keeping a copy of the current layout, don't worry. :)
Hmmm... You all can contribute ideas, but I'm not going to put any celebrity photos in the layout...

The aim is to make a minimalist layout that everyone will like... Like the iPod design! And I plan to add little animations to the layout too. You'll know what I mean when I get the layout up! =D

Oh ya. Today, my mum went to Parkway Parade's Cold Storage, and there was blood on the floor. *aiyo* And things like fishes to canned food were scattered on the floor.

Actually it was because of this chinaman who was stealing alot of stuff from the supermart. Then 2 police cars' worth of policemen came to catch him. Finally, they smacked him on the left side of his face with a bat, and they brought him away.

Yay! Brought to justice!

I was doing my maths revision today morning (chap 2 and 3) and later, I read the straits times, and the Times magazine.

And the Times magazine featured the NEW Xbox 360!!! Whoo!
Some of the new features...

-connects to ur iPod to play music
-rips music from a CD to its hard drive
-5.1 dolby surround sound (!!!)
-very pretty design. ALOT better than the previous Xbox.

Anyway, about star wars. I watched it yesterday, then my mum wanted to fall asleep because she said that she didn't understand the storyline, and didn't like the colours. (too dark for her. she likes brighter colours.)

I personally found it okay. I dunno who said she finds Hayden Christensen erm. Cute, but I think he has the look to be Anakin Skywalker lah. You know, he can look nicey-dicey and all gentlemanly but when he turns into Darth vader then MUAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!

Anyway the story was tragic lah. Haizzz. The more I see the more... xin sui I get. He turned so bad in the end lor. Even kill the younglings ARGH so bad!!!

To be happy is to rejoice in every small thing tat comes ur way

hi there everyone! I know I haven't been blogging for like, so LOONG. But hey, I am still being grounded. Okay sorry. I know everyone's been hearing about how tough my life has been so I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone for putting up with my complaints and a BIG SORRY as well.

All the best for the upcoming Maths Test. Sighs, I cant get my linear graphs right!!!! It's so upsetting and fully disturbing cos Mr. Yap saes that our graphs should only take about 5 minutes. So todae I tried to take only 5 minutes. And u know how long I took to draw the whole graph? 11 min 12 sec. That's like DOUBLE the time that we SHOULD have. Sheesh. Then I tried to ask GCL whether there was any hints as to how to solve these graph questions faster. And she told me that maybe I should take lesser time for the rest of the questions. Thats true but if it were me and I STILL couldn't solve it after 5 minutes I would give up, skip the question and go on.

At least next Sunday I have fellowship sunday. And we're going to Sentosa to go kayaking with another sec 3 group. But then again maybe I wouldn't go. See first. Wait till my frens capsize the whole canoe. Then I would look so malu in front of all the sec 3s. LOL.

Oh ya. I forgot to talk about the Star Wars. I think its oki la. Considering I never watch it cos the whole plot gives me a headache. And alot of ppl sae that hayden christen is cute? Sorry but I dun think so. he's not tat cute la. BUT I do like the advertisment when one guy saes, "Master?" Then the other guy saes, "Arise." Sounds like the movie, the Mummy. Do any of u ppl read 8 days? They had this page in there which said how the movie ticket money was divided. There was $0.85 that contributed to Natalie Portman's hairdo and $0.70 to Hayden Christen's make-up and eyebrow pluckers. Its got alot of Star Wars stuff inside. So u should really see it if u r a fan.

Zero to hero?

Today I went to see the doctor... agh... flu... Then he gave me 2 kinds of tablets... one of them is as big as a M&M lor... I see already got phobia man. I didn't dare to swallow it.

Then I told my mum. She told me the usual method, drink lots of water, gulp it down, and then just ignore it. Pretend that the tablet wasn't there in the first place. It didn't work. Man. One tablet wasted.

So I came up with another idea-munch biscuits, pop in the tablet, and swallow it with the biscuits. It worked!!! yay!! So proud of myself... Hahaha!

Oh yes, it's our blog's birthday today! I made a card... I'll post it here later.

Today's Chinese class was so fun! Zeng lao shi (ms chan) was really nice. She invited this guy to come and show us how to make rice dumplings. Mini nonya dumplings. Smelt and tasted nice. :)

And my mum said that I kena flu bcoz I'm not taking enough ascorbic acid. (in other words, vitamin C!!! hehehe... using chim words is cool sometimes rite?) So she told me to eat a banana. (A fruit that I usually don't really like to eat) I ate the whole banana anyway. haha.

She said "I can strike 4d today!!!"
then she said, "If you eat 1 banana everyday, I'll give you 100 dollars every month!!!"
Then I said "Hah... don't want lah..."
Reply: "Why you don't want to take money..."

The gentleman who invented the pH scale wanted to measure how acidic his beer was. As you know you have to use yeast to make beer or wine, and you also know that yeast uses enzymes. Enzymes only work if the pH is right. What he discovered was that acids and alkalis make the colours in plants change. The easy one is Litmus paper.

Try grinding up some red cabbage or a beetroot. You will get a red or blue liquid. You can make the liquid change colour by adding acids or alkalis. All that happens is that the colour of the plant dye depends upon the concentration of Hydrogen ions. If you have used universal indicator paper you know that it can change from blue to green to yellow to red. Universal indicator is a mixture of dyes which all change when you change the pH.

what he was talking about simply put, means that the "e" means the energy in a matter is equal to the mass of the matter times the speed of light squared.

Very small amounts of mass can be converted into large amounts of energy because matter gains weight as they move faster.

It's like, if you flick a grain of sand at say a small force, it won't move much. But if you flick it REAL hard with some new, uninvented special machine, it would crush your house into pieces.

Get it?But when matter stops moving, the weight(more like mass) of it will go back to normal. Hmm

Why?

The energy in matter is slowly released as they move. By saying 'move' I mean moving through the air, not moving by means of an animal carrying it around.

So you can imagine if you flick a grain of sand at the speed of light at the wall in fromt of you right now... Ooh...

Okay! Miss Chan rawks! She's the coolest teacher ever! She didn't even ask me why I forgot to bring my science longman. okay mebe that's because I told her the reason. But she rawks. It's going to be so sad when she stops teaching us. She's nice and quirky and funny.

SPA test techniques...

Use a test tube holder to hold test tubes, do NOT use metal tongs.

When heating, do not point the test tube at anyone, use test tube holders, and wear goggles.

Don't anyhow mix chemicals after you finish, and have nothing to do. Sukali explode then you know. ;)

Be careful, and practise good experimentation techniques!!!

How could this happen to me~ I'm losing control~

Hahaha... Okay. You know what. We lost to 2/4 by 1 pathetic mark lor. I was very angry at first... like...*what the heck man?! 1 mark?!*

But heck lah. At least our class likes it. :) right? At least I don't feel so bad.

Miss Chan said she wants to wear a white Indian sari on her wedding day and wants to go overseas to marry(?). And she likes indian movies, especially the dancing (?) part. (which I think are totally boring and sometimes, idiotic. I think it's because I don't like those dancing parts. Whenever the dancing parts come up I think, "Okay!!! When is THIS going to end..." No offense. I'm not saying that indians are idiotic. I'm not racist! I'm saying that some of the movies' storylines are idiotic. Just... too nicey-dicey for me. Because heroes don't always win. The world is full of backstabbing. Times have changed. The world is ugly, full of killings and bombings.)

Okay. I'm just this blunt. If you don't like what I said, then don't read, ok?

Well... Miss Chan explained anyway. Something to do with hitting a radioactive atom.

Refresh Your Senses...With Heavenly Redolence!

Haha. I shall stop the slang.

Everyone did a really great job today man! No more puke-like gelatin smell!!! Yippee! But I bet we used alot of Miss Chan's essential oils lah...haha... but the effect was good, man.

And the decorations were also great... Muz thank everybody for doing their part in the decoration part. Especially beading. Hehe!

And thanks to chunling for grabbing the essential oils we needed, and bringing the markers, and writing 'Heavenly'. Muz also thank her for helping out in the bead decors. Hehe. Great job!

Thanks to Samantha for grabbing the essential oils we needed, and drawing the two little angels. Hehe! The angels are really cute!!! Also thanks for helping out with the bead decors and the star.

Thanks to Julia for helping out with the beading, (more like beading AND the tying of knots,haha) and planning the design for the bead chain. Came out really nice.

And I would also like to thank myself for tying the last knot... Hahahahaha... My knot tying-skills have improved!~ =D

Finally, thanks to everyone for helping to answer the questions, and for helping out in other aspects! =D

I shall make more lemon oil in the future... for my mum (put on her face. she's planning to put lemon oil on mine. XP) and for my family (put in the car as air freshener). Hehe!

During June holidays I will make you all some keychain/bracelet stuff... =D Dunno for what.

Frankly I don't wear bracelets. I'm not... those kind who goes out looking like a christmas tree. I hang LOTS of cute cute keychains on my bag though! :D Very cute mah. Cannot help it.

Most of them were bought from shops like action city/precious thoughts. The rest should be from gashapon machines. I like gashapon machines alot!!! :D

Very cute stuff are found in these machines quite often. I see liao cannot help it... MUST go and take a spin on the machine!!! :D Haha... maybe abit waste money lah. But better than buying those $80+++ toys lah... I rather go and save it in the bank or treat my parents to dinner or something like that.

Okay... I am lost for words now. Run out of things to say liao!! :(

There was this extremely depressed guy sitting in a pub, about to drink from his glass. Suddenly, this BIG BIG bully comes in, grabs his drink, and drank it in a gulp. The depressed guy was extremely shocked and terrified, so, he started to cry.

'What's wrong, man? I hate to see guys cry like THAT!!! Come on, I'll buy you back the drink.' The bully exclaimed.

'Today was the WORST day of my LIFE!!!' said the guy, banging on the table.

'Why?'

'I was late for work. And my boss FIRED me! Then, I walked to a taxi stand, only to slip on a banana skin. Next, when I left the taxi, I forgot to take my things... my wallet and my handphone!!! Now the worst part....... *sniffs sadly* I found my wife sleeping with my BEST FRIEND at home!!! Then.....' said the depressed guy within sobs.

'What?' The bully asked.

'And now you've drunk my poison!!!'
