LOST

Hey, just a quick preview on the Tv series LOST. It is actually not a frightening or ghost movie as shown by the TV advertisments. Very interesting! It talks about the plane flying from Australia which crashed and landed on an island, which is unknown to the world. The plane survivors are people of all races, countries and personalities. For example, a doctor by the name of Jack is the so called hero of the show. He tries to help the injured and is the lead actor. The lead actress plays Kate a criminal waiting to be charged in another country for an unknown crime. Each episode talks specifically about each character and about how everyone tries to tolerate each other while living on the island. It has been found that a French lady has been stranded on the island for 16 years. So catch the season premier of LOST, but do not be Lost.........

The Science Centre...

has changed ALOT since the last time I went there. Sooo many new exhibits and games to play! :D I'll post a few photos I took at the albert einstein-man of the century exhibition later.

anyway, in case you're hungry, I could feed you with some cool facts.

-the word 'genome' is a combination of the two words 'gene' and 'chromosome'

-The instructions for making all organisms are just spelled out with 4 chemical letters; or bases.
adenine (A), thymine(T), cytosine (C), and guanine(G). These pair up--- A with T and C with G.

-In the course of 1 year-1905-einstein published 4 revolutionary papers which resolved some of the fundamental issues which had been baffling physicists. This year is known as einstein's annus mirabilis, his miracle year. (No pun intended for 'annus', as it means 'annual')

1."Does an inertia of a body depend on its energy content?" (ooh cool. can explain 'how do we know that we're moving?')

2. On the electrodynamics of moving bodies (waaah!!! >_< I think this one explains why moving things gain weight, and why they appear to look shorter. )

3. on the movement of small particles suspended in stationary liquids required by the molecular-kinetic theory of heat (chim. this... hmm... has something to do with relativity)

4. on a heuristic point of view concerning the production and transformation of light (from the title you know what it's about right)

anyway... too much chim stuff to mention here in case you get bored haha. So far I think his mathematical workings for the unified field theory are the chimmest. I doubt mr yap can understand a letter of it. Oh well. Obviously I can't too. I have no idea what he's writing. Looks like some sort of equation.

Actually I have pics of him sailing (one of his fav activities) and playing the piano, and another one of him sticking out his tongue when a reporter asked him to do a birthday pose. Haha. it was his 72nd birthday. Another one of his passport... Arghhh!! That one's blurry bcoz they put his passport on the revolving platform. Hmph. Another one was a letter a six year old girl wrote to him... asking him to have a haircut so he could look better, hahahahaha!!!

And from another pic I took you can see that miss chan 'shortchanged' us... there are actually SO MANY types of quarks oh gawd. They were discovered by Bell-Mann in 1974. I have no idea what's 'Lambda' and the other 4 at the bottom lol. Just shows how bad I am at science. She told us got up and down quark... Actually also got one that starts with 's', and another one 'c'. I don't know what's that so I'll check it out later.

Okay. I'll be leaving for Japan on Saturday... So I won't get to see Sam's hair :( Which I really want to see. Hehe. But I'll get to see the mammoth and robots and trees and flowers and some few million Japanese. Hahahaha! Wish me luck with taking a pic/video of the mammoth. It's actually an exhibit where you stand on a travellator while passing by the HUMONGOUS mammoth. Hope I can get a good spot. Hahaha. Typical kiasu singaporean, lol. Anyway WISH ME LUCK!!! :D

And I will buy some stuff back for you all... esp. for sam and her mum for putting in so much effort for my early birthday celebration. :)

Anyway. I'm off to post the pictures up here. Have fun!! Eat, drink, and be merry! Don't forget to play and slack while you can! :D:D:D Bcoz we won't get to do that later. Next holiday is during late october.

Ciao!!!

PS. quite disappointed at the albert einstein real-life figure. Doesn't really look like him leh. Haha. My father said he looks like a mad old man when he saw the wax figure.

Oh My Gosh!

Oh. My. Gosh.

So much has happened over the last few day that I can't really catch up on all the news. well, maybe I can but I can't accept them that fast. * blinks and sighs*

Firstly, the class blog thingie. OMG. I dun believe it at all lor. i'm not going to sae anything about it yet, juz give me some time to digest this piece of news.

Secondly I went to rebond my hair and layer it. Yes, I've told Julia and ah chun. Sorry ah xin that I haven't tell u yet. u all shall get to see it on the day of the geog lecture. meanwhile I can't tie up my hair, go swimming, put my hair behind my ears or pin it up. At least for 2 weeks. I also had to spend 6 hours juz to get this haircut. I also can't believe it at all.

I know I am very bad to keep on talking about my hair when such a thing has happened. (the first thing) But its juz all too sudden for me to take. I won't sae anything more. Siew chi if u see this post, I want u to know that everyone in sls will be behind u supporting u all the way. And I hope u dun mind my writing about it on top. sorry.

well, I'll juz sign off now.

why not take a crazy chance

hi there people!

Very happy todae. I managed to finish 2 chapters of the science summary thingie. Secondly I am also very happy that we managed to get together, play badminton and play monopoly. That was fun! We should play monopoly more often. Haha.

Todae I had extra Maths tution lesson. my teacher taught me the introduction to trigonometry. When I first heard the word "trigonometry", I was like, " shoot! here comes the difficult chapter." cos I always used to think that trignometry was SO difficult. But after my teacher explained once I think its quite easy. But hey, its only the introduction. But it shouldn't be so easy. After all there's a saying that goes,"once u got the basics, the rest should be quite easy." So here's hoping.

a note to xin: hope that u can read the albert einstein book finish. That would be SO cool! Cool for people like me who are juz currently taking science as it is.

Thanks to everyone for making yesterdae a sucess! Thanks to Julia for bringing the nice sweet jelly and thanks to ah chuin for bringing the drinks. And next time dun bring any chocolates or gifts ar. Thanks anyway for the chocolate.

Oh wells, I gtg. A happy birthday to ah xin in advance! *clears throat and starts singing the birthday song.

Smiles to everyone,

Very very happy... =)

You want to know why I'm so happy?
Ok.
Because I just finished the HeyMath assignment today morning!!! *jumps*
So happy!!! I managed to figure out qs. 17 also lah, heng. Hehe!

Now I'm left with the maths TB homework and the chinese ju ben... ahh so relieved. Better than using axe oil to relieve yourself haha!

Hope you all have done your homework *glint*
That day I was talking to crystal, and then she told me that she hasn't done ANY of her homework yet. Zero. Zilch. Nothing. Ether. NONE.

Then I said, 'HUH'
'So when are you gonna do it'

I forgot what she replied, but I remember that she meant something like she's not gonna do it. Yowch.

Hope she'll do her HW lah... good for her what, right? Homework can train your brain... *haha*

Juz now Daniel Ong asked a question... what is the fastest thing you know of?

Then ppl said things like light (my answer), love, blink of an eye, and, erm. Ladies. -_-

Then Daniel Ong said that the answer was diarrhoea. Because there was a day when he was out with his friend, and his friend suddenly had to go to the toilet because he kena diarrhoea. But before he could do that...
Faster than the speed of light...
He'd crapped his pants.

*shock*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......................!

Cannot stop laughing... hahahaha...

K lah. Wish you all all the best for this holiday, hope you can finish you HW by the end of this week! ^_^v

Whee~!

Good morning humans! (what else, heehee) I'm stuck at question 17 of the HeyMath assignment. Argh. Sickening sia. I've tried doing it for... er. 3 times? Always end up with ridiculously long workings.
STILL cannot. Oh pants. Gotta try harder. If you all know how to do, muz tell me ok? I'm stumped. :P

By the way... ya the geography talk thing. I'm not going anymore. :p Sorry ah Julia! Yesterday my mum called the school, and they said "Sorry, I have to direct you to the VP Mrs Chia." Then my mum was shocked lor. This kind of holiday thing also must talk to VP. She asked me if Mrs Chia was fierce. Then I said, 'No lah! Very motherly one.'

So... TKGS very efficient hor?! My mum faxed her a letter asking for me to be excused from the talk. (because the trip is 5 days long, and the day my mum can go for holiday is only the 19th. (or 18th or whatever) Anyway, it will surely clash with the geog talk.) Mrs Chia replied really fast. On the same day, about less than 1 hour from the time we faxed her the letter lor. >_< *blinks very hard* So fast!

*Once again apologises to julia*
Sorry! But then, I cannot resist going to the Aichi Expo...
*end of apology*

ROTFLOL...!!!

btw Sam... I just helped you to get that song. I find it ok lah. The piano is nice, and Vanessa Carlton has a very nice voice. But the song is only okay for me. :P
When I'm free, I'll go try listening some of her other songs. Maybe got nicer ones.

Oh ya! My mum reminded me that today is my chinese birthday. :D So I'm 14! Yay! But only in the chinese calendar. Hahaha!

Yesterday I was looking for a stapler in the study room, then I happened to see my father's university photos. *laughs subtly*
The hair quite long... *tries to control laughter*
If I have a chance, I'll show you all! *tries even harder to control*
Which means Monday! :D

He still say "my photo very nice right?"

-_-...

He has another photo which he took with his university friends. One of them is now a... psychic guy? Can do fortune telling one. But also quite sissy lah. Hehe.
That time all their clothes and hair and shoes were... *laughs*

okay, I better get serious and get on with my work now.
Cya!

I lurve this song!!!

hi there everyone!

Haha...hi there to xin and ju and gcl. The new song is quite okay la. Not that I've heard it b4 la. But its oki. Xin, can u help me find the mp3 of a Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton? I tell u all, this song rawks! Its got realli nice piano bits in it which I really like. U people should really hear it. It's even in the movie White Chicks. So funny. The movie I mean.

Speaking of movies, I juz watched Monster-in-law todae. It was quite funny. There were soooo many funny parts like the time when Jennifer Lopez imagined that she hit her future mother-in-law's face with a saucepan etc. Tell ya'll about it on mon.

Whew. Not feeling to good at the moment. Got a bout of headaches and feeling pretty feverish. Oh well, that's why after I finish this i'll be outta here. Haha. Speaking of which I gotta a really cool trick to show u all. I'll show u guys on mon.

Gotta run. Cya all on mondae or online.

Cheers,
Delta aka Sam

Yeah...!

Hope you all like the new song on the blog! It was in the Shrek movie. Nice right? Chunling laughed when she heard it. (?)

Thanks to Sam for posting! Jiayou!

List of homework I still have to do... (to remind myself)
-HeyMath! (30qs.) [It was uploaded today]
-Maths Textbook: 2 & 3 part (b), and qs. 6
-Ju Ben

I'm very happy to see my list of work to do getting
*shorter* and
*shorte* and
*short* and
*shor* and
*sho* and
*sh* and
*s* and
*?*

=)

Hahahahaha!!! Hope that brightened your day! =D
I muz force myself to finish all my work... Quite reluctant to do maths HW. =P

Agh... I wanna go to the Japan Aichi Expo, but my mum can only make it on 19th June... :'(
5 days trip...
If we go on 19th, then I can't go! Because of that Geography talk lor. Haiz. Hope later can get through the school phone and ask them lor. I rather miss the geog talk than the Aichi expo trip. (right?)

Okay. No offense to other geog lovers, but I find geog boring. Because... erm... It's kind of inborn in me? My father was really good at geog and history. My mum was good at science and maths. So... I take after my mum. My mum hates geog and bio. High five with her. I would have liked bio alot, if not for the memorizing part. I like all kinds of science. :) Except for erm... those kind of human anatomy science. I like neuro science though. Hehe. You know what I mean by 'human anatomy science' right? Those... erm. Disgusting bits of science.

Haha~! Did you see the news? Paris Hilton married a guy also called Paris, (?!) and the local film "I Not Stupid" is going to have a 2nd movie, called "I Not Stupid Too". Check out the "Life!" section, last page.

Okayz! I better go and do my homework now. See ya!
