Happy Teachers' Day!!!

Hello! I took 32 pics in total with my camera today. Shall not post my own pic because it's very malu-ing. Hehehe. So, I shall post those I took in class and in the hall! Aren't you happy?

Another wonderfully interesting post by me, complete with pics some more. (ego, ego) Hahaha... The day started pretty normally. You know, go to classroom, sit down, etc. Then I wrote the "Happy" of "Happy Teachers' Day" on the board. Then I told Charmaine to take over because I thought it was ugly but she said it was nice! =D



Then... at the assembly ground... my Chinese teacher came frantically looking for me to tell me that my group GOT SECOND PRIZE FOR SCRIPT WRITING COMPETITION!!! I was like "HUH???? Am I still asleep?" Then she asked me to got o the foyer to wait. In the end… diaoz… Cannot give out prizes because no time… So how? Go back to class lor. For Aces’ Day Dance.
Sorry Aces' Day dance no pic! Hehe. Didn't bring camera along. But I forgot alot of the moves. Then the MOST MALU was that Mr Hay (as usual) was videotaping the whole thing...

But it's okay. Alot of people forgot anyway. So I'm not alone! (yay!)

And so we went back to class. Then GCL, Julia, Sam and I went to the staffroom to give the mooncakes to mdm seah and asked her to join us for the class party. We later gave out our cards. But most of them were nowhere in sight, so we just put the cards in their lockers. And another person... MR HAY!!! Dunno where the heck he went. And somemore he dun have locker. So we just went back to class for class party.

I didn't really eat much because I didn't feel like eating those stuff. Like, erm, VERY highly unhealthy. Hehe! So I just drank green tea and ate jelly. The roasted chicken flavour chips taste funny. And the stupid thing was that we didn't take class photo lor. Wah lao this kind of thing also can forget!!! >:(
It's our last year together lor.

Meanwhile, our friendly and sweet Thai ambassadors were playing games with us!



Teacher's table was the worst of all I think.



Yeah. But we got all that stuff cleared up in the end. =) Good job 2/1!

Then we went to the hall. It was very frustrating to sit in the hall because it was stuffy, hot, and I was squashed amongst a few thousand other TKGians. Then they were playing the same song that was played on my kindergarten graduation day... "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion but they changed it to "Because You Taught Me" later.

Then suddenly chunling said "HSW! HSW!"
Me: "Huh where?"
Samantha: "There! *points*
Me: Wha heng arh so near only... Dun need to kena squashed when I stand up.

Yay! So I gave him his card. Then he was like " Eh...Thank you arh! =)" Then I plopped back in my seat unhappily because the space was SMALL and CRAMPED. I wish I could stand outside... Inside the hall so hellish.

Dance club members did a great job, so did the prefects and the hosts! Oh ya, I juz realised that Beau and Zaneta actually really can dance very well one. Although that dance was abit odd because it required them to look like pontianak occasionally. (means their hair drape over their face)

Then the final one I take photo!!! Because ALL the staff were on the stage! Yeah finally! But Mdm Seah was nowhere in sight, sniffle. Could've gotten a pic of her.

I bet Mr Hay wanted to be 2m tall at that time. And, oh yes my hao peng you BU KUI SHI WO DE HAO PENG YOU!!! While I took the pic she suddenly turned over to look at my camera. Thanks, friend! below: Uncle Dollah REALLY went a little mad after he cut the cake. He was literally jumping and screaming happily. I zoomed all the way to the max with my camera. Which is why they turned out very blur, and I didn't really manage to see how the cake looked like. And I didn't mean to shoot mr hay's backside. I told you I zoomed to the max already! So that's the best I can do to take a pic of the cake!

below: Yeeahhh! Cut the cake liao! Yappy Yap yap looks on longingly at the cake. He must be very hungry. I wonder what he ate for breakfast. His self-cultured yoghurt eh? I think he never do properly that's why his yoghurt ended up as dilute hydrochloric acid, and made him digest his food faster. At least that's what I think.

Madness!

The most amount of madness I've ever encountered in my whole life happened today! Woot!
National Software Competition was held today. 2 Sec 3s and I went for the IT Quiz. The 3 sec 1s went for the Algorithm contest thing.

Supposed to meet mr hay at Dover mrt station today, BUT he was almost HALF an HOUR late. 8am like that then reach. And still can laugh hor?! =P And the sec 1s and sec 3s oso. :( I so poor thing wait there stupidly... >=( !!!!!

Singapore Poly is damn big...
Before the competition, mr hay was talking to us about winning the thing.
"If you all win, I can get money and treat you all go eat at some proper restaurant."
Ya lah. Ya lah.

We knew we couldn't man. RI, RGS, HWA CHONG!!! Haiz. Finished.
The quiz was like 197 true/false questions to be done one paper AND online in TWENTY MINUTES. Mad! We did 90+. Not sure. And somemore they never tell us results!
Tested alot of funny questions like what programme is used to create A.I., which I have completely no idea of.

Then went back to auditorium. Announced the finalists. Mr Hay commented that there were n o girls of all, which was very true!!! Then he started ranting... They must have made a calculation error... etc. Haiz...

Some of the final round questions I can answer leh, hehe! Mr Hay was saying "eh you're good man. You next time want to study computer anot?"
Me: "Ya! At MIT. And I'm not that good lah."
Mr hay: "Hah? Australia one ah? Why not go poly directly?"
Me: "Don't want. And it's in America."
Mr Hay: "Orh. (I think he dunno what is MIT. Anyway, it's called massachussetts institute of technology, 2nd university in the world!) How you know all these stuff anyway?"
Me:"Sometimes pass by bookshop or library just go in and go computer section and read lor."
Mr Hay: "WHAT?! You bother to read ah?"

Ya it went something like that.

And then some of the questions for the finals were mad. Super tough. Like what is the octal number of 14. So what the heck is octal number anyway, hehe!

There was this part where the audience can run down to the stage to answer the question and get a prize. It was an ugly scene. Like 20-30 people CLIMBING over the plants onto the stage. So desperate for thumbdrive izzit.

Chinese High won!!! (whee!)

Then there was this Simsurobot or something demo. The guy presenting said it like "sim-shro-boat". Then he said blue as "brue" and yellow as "yerrow", etc etc.....

Then tea break. I didn't take anything because there were way too many people crowding around the buffet table. Mr Hay didn't eat anything because...

"I'm on a diet. I'm so fat. My arms here are all muscle but you see! My stomach all fat."

EH... Sound abit like woman hor... Hehehe! Then he was saying Elaine or who eat until the whole table got cake... Then say her mouth got hole... AHahhahahahaha! Then she glared at him. He ask me, "Ta bu shuang ah?".

I said. "Ya. I think she wants to throw the plate of cakes into your face right now."
Elaine. "Ya."
Mr Hay. "You throw lah! Then you give me $50."

DIAO DIAO DIAO DIAO~~~~~

Then he said Carol dunno what, den she buay song, so she flung 2 crumbs of cake into Mr Hay's face!!! They missed him by 1 millimetre. Haiz. So fierce hor. I was pretty shocked. But he surprisingly did not get angry?! Or maybe he's just putting up a show, I dunno.

We then went back for an extremely boring talk and prize giving session(The top winners got an Xbox EACH!!!!!) and also a session to award people with scholarships. Boring boring boring borling.

Then I went home. Whee! The only useful thing in the goodie bag was the 10 CD-Rs. That's it. So pathetic right? But nvm.

Teacher's day coming soon. I'm going back to see my pri school teachers... u all leh? so its decided we're getting mooncakes for mdm seah right? ok yupps anyways I got something to ask y'all abt. Should I make a card for Mr Yong??? hahaha. Chun ling is mutual abt it but she did say tat ah xin would say yes and ju would say no.

There are all sorts of people in this world.

Some weird person made use of our blog to advertise about his timber business or whatever. Bo-LIAO!!! There are so MANY OTHER advertising opportunities out there, so why our humble blog?

Haiz. Nvmind lah. Anyway. I did a chapter on Standard Form today. Maths. Because I forgot how to do, hehehe! Just wrote a letter to my mortal. Shall not elaborate more.

Ahhhh

Hi, long time no see. How is everyone? Well, the stressful year is coming to a quick end. I start to feel the pinch of leaving 2E1. So sad..... Let's talk about something happier. Xinyi has made a beautiful star sculpture. Samantha has enjoyed Da Chang Jing the Korean Drama. Julia is happy playing Maple Story.

Yay! I did it!!!

Whee! See? My biggest, spikiest modular origami piece so far. About 17.5cm tall. (wish it was 175cm. hehe) Okay lah. It's not THAT big, but then it's quite an achievement for me. =)


I usually make containers or small stuff like that. I put my hairclips in these 2, for example.

Nice anot? I used 30 pieces of square origami (or chiyogami) paper. Phew. Fold the same silly unit for 30 times and join together. I started doing it yesterday, in the afternoon. About 4pm till 10pm.

Then, when I reached home today, I immediately practised my... er. Top-spinning skills. What am I supposed to call that, I dunno. I felt quite bad receiving the highlighters and the notebook because I still couldn't spin the top well in school. But after practising... HEY!!! I can actually get it right!!! Now I can make it spin for about 30 seconds plus minus everytime I throw it. Confirmed. Hahaha... Very song to play with.

Then I folded the remaining 4 units for this origami piece and joined them up. Woot! So... Here you are, hehe!

So. How do I throw the top?
1) Practice and more practice.
2) Experiment.

Then I found the... jue qiao/qiao men. Let me impart my new-found-knowledge... Muahahahahaha!!!

1) Wind the string around the top. If you're still in the practicing stage, don't wind too high up, or else you'll get up with a top spinning on its side.

2) Hold the top with your index finger and thumb. Metal side facing the floor. hold the string with your other 3 fingers. Keep it that way. Remember to try to keep the top upright at all times.

3) Move your right hand to the right...

4) Now here's the tricky part. Flick (er. wrong word izzit. Anyway, must do this real fast) your right hand to the left, then to the right. Be generous. Move your arm like you're trying to draw a BIG line in front of you. But remember to bend your arm towards yourself when bending to the left, though. =P

4.5) Just as you're flicking your hand to the right, remember to let go of the top and hold on tight to the string, of course!

5) Through this action, you're unwinding the string. ALWAYS make your movements sharp and quick for steps 4 to 4.5. After this, watch your top spin like mad and sit back. Admire at your work.

6) If it doesn't work out, try again! Practice makes perfect. I'm far from that.

Okiez! Hope you all can do it too! And make sure to stand far far far away from expensive stuff.

Today, Julia, Chunling, and I went to White Sands shopping mall to collect our CIP forms and also to have lunch at the foodcourt. GCL dunno why keep complaining got stomach ache. Julia and I ate chicken rice with soup and GCL ate some mincemeat noodles. Julia drank something I forgot, GCL drank milk tea and me. Haiz. I'm such a boring person right. Ice peach tea, haha.

Then we went to Popular all because of me... I wanted to buy glitter for IAP. You know me lah. Glittery glittery kawaii stuff are my... absolute favourites. Hehe! I wanted those kind of dry glitter to mix with acrylic paint to give a shimmery finish. I also bought a bottle of silver poster paint.

Mixing silver paint and normal acrylic paint works wonders. You get METALLIC colours!! How pretty. So, I painted my 10 stars like this...

Haiz. Cannot really see their shine because of... 1) my poor photography skills 2) They're nto completely dried yet.

Then I had leftover metallic blue and gold paint. The result-I painted a flower motif on my calculator.


The national day celebrations in school today were pretty boring. Where was zut-zut? She's gone with the wind? Maybe not. Wind not strong enough to blow her away, haha! Must use typhoon.

Then. My favourite part. MR ANG WEE JIN ACTUALLY RAPPED!!! He looks like a real rapper when he raps(???! very gd acting?!), but nonetheless very entertaining. Rang wo da kai yan jian, yuan lai our humble computer club teacher can rap hor!

Mr Hay... Dunno what to say. Just when he went up the stage he disappeared. Dunno where he go. Like Mdm Seah. Eh should give the mike to Mdm Seah leh. She would have made a great singer.

And he (mr ang) was like the 'lead singer', standing at the mike all the time, haha! Wonder whether it was planned? Mr Yong and Mr Kevin Ang were like 'emergents' among the 'canopy'. Geddit? Out of so many teachers, only their heads can see most clearly one.

Yay! The cut on my finger is healing well... I hope Sam is recovering fast too... We look foward to seeing you in school! Jiayou! Muz guai guai take medicine and rest. Drink lots and lotssssss of water k?

And, I'm quite happy to get 11/15 for my summary. If not I finish egg (wan dan) liao for this CA. Haha! Today was pretty hectic after school... SO MUCH STUFF TO DO!!!
1. Get my Science Worksheets in CHRONOLOGICAL order. (order of Mr Yong)
2. Get my Geography Worksheets in Chronological order. (order of Mdm Seah)
3. Finish my Geog Workbook HW.
4. (not done yet because there isn't maths class tomorrow) Ex. 12a questions.
5. Iron school uniform (1 set, +2 due to my father's order. Obviously not done yet becoz I need to de-stress: read: play computer)

Muahahaha...

I tested my mum the genius test and she got 1/4... at least better than me. Hahahaha.
Gd job to 2/1 for the 2.4km run... Great! Everyone passed!
Julia... hope you're feeling alot better now. Lucky inside the staff toilet got Mdm Seah... If not I dunno wad to say...
To Syazana and gang... Sorry for yelling at you. I was very frustrated by the noise because I was reading the circuit stuff. But anyway, please keep the noise level to zero d.b. inside all computer labs to maintain world peace. :) I seriously don't mind all of you talking when the class isn't doing work.

My finger to me: I hate you like &*^$#* for hurting me!!!! Hmph!

As you can see, my poor third finger suffered a cut due to my stupidity. I think you can't see it now, thanks to the plaster Julia gave me! :) Thanks alot Julia!!! I'll return you a plaster tomorrow k? =D I would like to apologise profusely to my finger here.

Dear middle finger on my left hand;
I'm very sorry for scratching you accidentally. I know it was painful. I was trying to loosen up my curve ruler by bending it about profusely, but, alas, my right thumb accidentally scratched you. Once again, sorry!

Today, I saw 1 of the books on how to make cakes Faiza borrowed... Sooo nice... I've never seen a nicer cake for children than the beehive cake... sooooo CUTE!!!!! Cannot stand it sia. Maybe I should take a seat. *sits down*
I should say that today was a pretty 'painful' day. First I had that cut, then I realised that I had a blister on my left foot. And just a few minutes ago, some weird thing came out of the mosquito bite on my right leg. It was kind of like... clotted? Then I pushed it away. Now it's kind of painful when I touch it. Sniffle.

My poor grandma (paternal) got hospitalised again... Lack of blood or something according to my father. I think he's visiting her later. Man... Howcome she lack of blood leh? Never eat enough tomatoes? I dunno. (BTW the statement about tomatoes was scientifically wrong)

I'm off to make the powerpoint, high-tech version of the genius test... (okay, maybe not so high tech lah. I dunno how to do scoring system. You must remember your own score ah.)
