hello everyone. how are you. i went swimming this morning and there were these american girls in the pool. they were about our age. i was astounded to see how they were staring at us. it was as if we were ppl from outer space. just coz our hair is black and skin, dark. it also happens everywhere i go. people talk to us as if we will not be able to understand what they are about to say. this morning when i went to breakfast and asked for some coffee, this guy asked which country i was from. i said i was an indian but i live in singapore. he looked at me and said that "you speak good english. did you grow up speaking it?" i stared back at him and told hime that of course i spoke english well. i studied in english i grew up in an english atmosphre and even in asia english is known by almost everyone. he was pretty shocked to here me say that. i do not think he thought that i would have answered in that way. these ppl think that we are some kind of uneducated poor and useless ppl who know nothing about computers, electronic stuff or anything that they are used to. however there are nicer ppl who do want to know more about our culture the way we live and all.

oh yeah another thing i noticed is that ppl here do not eat rice. my mother was craving for rice so badly because we has not had rice in our diet for soo long. therefore we decided to go to an indain restaurant to get some rice to eat. and let me tell you this i get to eat ice cream free of charge. free flow of ice cream everyday. free food. free pool. free fishing. free arcade. free use of internet. free accomodation and gifts everynight.
