FOR CHUN LING

A very good evening to you all, and welcome to The Amazing Race Recap! I'm your host Samantha.

Unfortunately I did not manage to catch the first 15 minutes of the show for which I apologise.

Anyway, the first was a ROADBLOCK. The task was to search for 1 single RED coffee bean in a pile of 500000 coffee beans. The Weavers were yielded by The Paolos and they were really upset because everyone except the Gaghans were ganging up against them. they felt that 'no one wants us (them) here'. Poor things. The Gaghans lost their lead eventually and were the last to leave the coffee plantation but fortunately not far behind the Weavers.

The next task was to drive to this surf shop where they were assigned a DETOUR. The choice was between two tasks, RELIC or RIPE. In relic, teams had to cross several precarious brideges to get 4 ancient relics and give them to the archeologist. In ripe, teams had to hoist 15 bushels of bananas onto a carrier system and the man would then give them the clue. Out of all the teams only the Paolos did the ripe tak and in spite of all their constant bickering they managed to complete it in record time using teamwork. The Relic was a little more difficult because halfway through the task it began to rain quite hard and the bridge was extremely high up. it was very slippery too.

The weavers managed to pull themselves out of the last place but they got stuck in mud on their way to the pit stop. The mother had an emotional breakdown and who could blame her? Even a nearby man would not help but just stood there staring at her. Finally in a fit of tears she drove the car out of the mud.

The Paolos were the first to arrive and they had won a choice of 1 from 4 outdoor vehicles which included jet skis and a multi-terrain jeep each. The Linz family was sceond, following behind were the Bransens. The Godlewski Family were 4th. FINALLY. The moment you've all been waiting for.....

The Weaver family were the 5th team to arrive and the Gaghans were eliminated. But being the good sports they were they took it bravely except for a few tears shed by the kids Billy and Carissa.

Well, next week is a 2 hour special so don't miss it! This is Samantha signing off, good night.
